Here is what we were up to this month.
Early in February we celebrated my cousin, who is due to have a baby next month. It was nice to gather with family to shower her with gifts. On the same day Andy joined his family in remembering the life of his Grandpa Tye. And later that evening my side of the family met together to celebrate and remember my Grandpa Lars’ life. It was a full day!
We had such a wonderful time getting together with the Lervik side of my family to remember my Grandpa Lars. Much of our family does not live near and so we don’t see each other often; but it was so wonderful to be together again even if we were only together for a few hours. The boys did such a great job out to dinner at a fancy restaurant, visiting with family they don’t see often, and up past their bedtime. I hope that we can all see each other again soon.
I took Eli and Luke to the Marine Life Center. We had fun looking at the different sea creatures. We also saw a train; which is super exciting for them. And we went to lunch at Boundary Bay.
Eli loves to help Andy in the shop. Here he is measuring wood pieces to build a trellis for above the garage door.
Luke got a hair cut; and would you believe that it is already time for him to get another one.
Eli and Luke are becoming the best of buddies. It is so much fun to watch them play, read, laugh and run around together.
Sunshine means as much outdoor play as possible! The boys love to ride bikes, dig in the garden and play with the neighbors.
We have been lucky enough to ride bikes to preschool several times this month.
We also took another trip to the Children’s Museum in Burlington. The boys love to spend time there and so I am getting a few trips in before we start spending every morning at one of the many local parks.
Andy built us a beautiful new desk for our office. Didn’t he do a great job? I LOVE how it turned out! We need to do a few finishing touches and then I will post more about it.
On Saturday, February 27th Andy and I went on a date to Drizzle in Lynden. We had a multi course dinner, drank delicious wine and enjoyed some olive oil tasting. The food prepared by Chef Andy was superb and the cheese from Ferndale Farmstead Cheese Artisans was delicious! If you live in the area you should surely check them both out; you won’t be disappointed.
We are looking forward to March. We have some fun things planned and we are hopeful we will hear some news about who we are adding to our family through adoption.
We hope that you had a great February! Thanks for following along.
